How to Become a Ride2MD Transportation Provider in 2027

Overview

Ride2MD, Inc. is the Miami ride broker for Simply Healthcare, Clear Health Alliance, and Florida Community Care, so their Medicaid, long-term care, and Simply Medicare Advantage trips go through it. To get them, enroll with Florida Medicaid, get a Type 2 NPI, then contact Ride2MD or ask Simply Provider Services or Florida Community Care Provider Relations for its network contact.

  • AHCA's subcontractor report through June 2026 lists Ride2MD for Simply Healthcare, Clear Health Alliance, and Florida Community Care.
  • On August 31, 2026, those plans held 21 percent of Florida's main Medicaid plan members and 37 percent of long-term care members.
  • Ride2MD has been Florida Community Care's only ride vendor since October 8, 2020, and Simply's Medicare Advantage ride vendor since January 1, 2023.
  • Its plans must confirm you hold a current Florida Medicaid provider agreement, and may sign you while enrollment is pending for up to 60 days.
  • Simply riders book on Ride2MD's lines, while Florida Community Care riders book through FCC's own number.

Ride2MD, Inc. is a Miami company that arranges non-emergency rides for Florida health plan members. Its federal NPI record, created January 18, 2016, lists it as a transportation broker at 2766 NW 62nd Street, Miami, FL 33147. AHCA’s plan subcontractor report through the second quarter of 2026 shows no parent company and two owners with 50 percent each. Simply’s provider site links Ride2MD’s name to the website of Transportation America, a Miami transportation company that gives the same street address for its headquarters.

Which health plans use Ride2MD

AHCA’s subcontractor report through June 2026 names Ride2MD for three Medicaid plans: Simply Healthcare Plans, Clear Health Alliance (Simply’s plan for members living with HIV), and Florida Community Care (FCC). AHCA’s vendor list of July 20, 2023 shows it statewide for Simply and Clear Health Alliance. Simply’s provider manual (October 1, 2026 edition) adds its Florida Healthy Kids members, and its Medicare guidebook (April 1, 2026) its Medicare Advantage members.

Plan Riders Ride2MD books Where
Simply Healthcare Medicaid and long-term care members Statewide

Simply Healthcare Florida Healthy Kids members Where Simply offers Healthy Kids

FCC brought Ride2MD in by stages. An FCC provider notice says Ride2MD joined its existing ride vendors on June 1, 2019 in Miami-Dade, Monroe, Broward, and Palm Beach counties, and statewide on August 1, 2019. AHCA’s alert of September 25, 2020 then made Ride2MD FCC’s single transportation subcontractor from October 8, 2020, the day Access2Care stopped serving FCC, and moved every booked and standing trip to it.

Simply’s Medicare change came on January 1, 2023, when Access2Care stopped serving nine of its counties. Simply’s December 2022 bulletin lists Ride2MD’s Medicare area as Brevard, Broward, Charlotte, Citrus, Clay, Collier, Duval, Flagler, Hernando, Hillsborough, Indian River, Lake, Lee, Manatee, Marion, Martin, Miami-Dade, Orange, Osceola, Palm Beach, Pasco, Pinellas, Polk, Putnam, St. Johns, St. Lucie, Sarasota, Seminole, Sumter, and Volusia counties. Simply’s Medicare guidebook of April 1, 2026 still names Ride2MD, and says each plan’s Summary of Benefits sets its ride coverage, with some markets booking rides through Simply’s case management instead. See Medicare Advantage transportation.

How much work that is

On August 31, 2026, AHCA counted 512,402 Simply members and 42,833 FCC members in Florida’s main Medicaid plans. That is 555,235 people, or 21 percent of the 2,619,062 statewide. In long-term care, FCC had 34,550 members, more than any other plan, and Simply had 30,454: together 65,004 of 174,349, or 37 percent.

The share runs highest around Tampa Bay and in Broward. Ride2MD’s two plans held 42 percent of main Medicaid plan members in Pinellas, 36 percent in Pasco, 31 percent in Hillsborough, and 30 percent in Broward. They held more than half of long-term care members in Pasco, Broward, and Pinellas. Miami-Dade has the most members by count: 87,156 Medicaid plan members and 19,527 long-term care members in the two plans. The Simply Healthcare and Florida Community Care pages break each plan down by region.

How to join Ride2MD’s network

  1. Check your counties. Compare your service area with the shares above and your county page, so you know how much plan work runs through Ride2MD where you drive.
  2. Enroll with Florida Medicaid. Florida’s plan contract, updated July 1, 2026, has every plan confirm that each provider holds a current AHCA provider agreement. The Florida guide covers enrollment and the Level 2 screening for owners.
  3. Get a Type 2 NPI. The same contract has plans collect each provider’s NPI and report it to AHCA. See how to get an NPI number.
  4. Call Ride2MD. Its NPI record lists 305-265-3333 and fax 305-675-3221, but that record was last updated September 16, 2019. As of June 2023, Ride2MD’s website asked transportation providers and drivers interested in a partnership to call 855-631-7433 or write to info@ride2md.com.
  5. Ask the plans if you get no answer. Simply’s provider site gives 844-405-4296 for joining its Medicaid network and 844-405-4297 for Medicare Advantage. FCC Provider Relations answers at 1-866-962-6186. Ask each one for Ride2MD’s network contact.
  6. Name every program you can serve. List Simply Medicaid, long-term care, Clear Health Alliance, Florida Healthy Kids, Simply Medicare Advantage, and FCC separately, with your counties and levels of service.
  7. Finish onboarding within 60 days. The plan contract lets a plan sign you while your enrollment is pending for up to 60 days. It must drop you if the state cannot enroll you, and it may take back what it paid if onboarding is not done in 60 days through no fault of the plan.

Florida lets each plan pick its own broker, so the other plans in your county send their riders to Alivi, Modivcare, or MTM Health, and each one is a separate contract. See working with multiple brokers and how to get NEMT broker contracts.

What Ride2MD’s plans hold you to

Your Ride2MD agreement sets its own terms, but Simply and FCC must hold their ride network to Florida’s plan contract. When a plan credentials a transportation company, it checks compliance with chapter 427 of the Florida Statutes and Rules 41-2 and 14-90 of the Florida Administrative Code, covering drug and alcohol testing, safety, and driver conduct. It also checks vehicle upkeep and ADA lifts, two-way communication with your base, heat and air conditioning, a posted plan complaint number, and liability coverage of at least $200,000 per person and $300,000 per incident. The Florida guide explains each rule, and the credentialing checklist helps you build the file.

The contract also grades each plan every month on how its rides run. At least 90 percent of riders must reach appointments on time, no more than 0.2 percent of trip requests may end as missed trips, and 90 percent of pickups must come within 15 minutes of the scheduled time going and 30 minutes coming back. A rider with a standing order, such as dialysis, cancer treatment, or methadone, may not miss an appointment because of a late pickup, a missed trip, or a cancellation by the transporter. Drivers may not change a pre-arranged pickup time without the rider’s permission. See NEMT standing orders and how to improve on-time performance.

How Ride2MD trips and pay work

  • Booking. Simply Medicaid members or their doctors call Ride2MD on Simply’s lines, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays, at least three business days before the appointment (member page, December 2025). FCC members book through FCC’s own line, and its second quarter 2026 newsletter asks for at least 72 hours of notice and says rides may be shared. Each plan page lists its lines and rules.
  • Rates. Your agreement sets them. Florida Medicaid’s transportation policy (November 2019) pays non-emergency ambulance trips from the state’s rate schedule and leaves all other rides to a negotiated rate. It does not cover time spent waiting while a rider is in an appointment.
  • Copays. Florida sets a $1 copay per trip unless a plan waives it. Simply’s provider manual (October 1, 2026 edition) waives copays for its Medicaid members, so your driver collects nothing from them.
  • Rider complaints. Simply’s long-term care manual says that when its ride vendor cannot settle a member’s ride complaint within 24 hours, it passes the complaint to Simply’s grievance team. Keep times and notes for every trip leg.
  • Disputes. Florida’s contract has each plan run its own provider complaint system, covering its policies and administrative work, and bars it from handing that system to a subcontractor. So an unresolved dispute with Ride2MD can go to Simply or FCC. For a problem that is not about a claim, you have 45 days from the date it happened to file, the plan confirms within 3 business days, and it resolves the complaint within 90 days.

Frequently asked questions

What is Ride2MD?

Ride2MD, Inc. is a Miami company that arranges non-emergency rides for Florida health plan members. Its federal NPI record, created January 18, 2016, lists it as a transportation broker at 2766 NW 62nd Street, Miami. AHCA's report through the second quarter of 2026 shows no parent company and two owners with 50 percent each.

Which health plans use Ride2MD for transportation?

Three Florida plans. Simply Healthcare Plans uses it for its Medicaid, long-term care, and Florida Healthy Kids members, and since January 1, 2023 for its Medicare Advantage members. Clear Health Alliance, Simply's plan for members living with HIV, uses it too, and Florida Community Care has used it as its only ride vendor since October 8, 2020. AHCA's second quarter 2026 report lists all three.

How do I become a Ride2MD transportation provider?

Enroll with Florida Medicaid and get a Type 2 NPI first. Then call Ride2MD: its NPI record (last updated September 2019) lists 305-265-3333, and its website gave 855-631-7433 and info@ride2md.com in June 2023. If you get no answer, ask Simply Provider Services at 844-405-4296 or FCC Provider Relations at 1-866-962-6186 for Ride2MD's network contact.

Do I need Florida Medicaid enrollment to get Ride2MD trips?

Yes, for Medicaid riders. Florida's plan contract (updated July 1, 2026) requires Simply and FCC to confirm that every provider holds a current AHCA provider agreement. A plan may sign you while enrollment is pending for up to 60 days, but must end the contract if the state cannot enroll you. Ask Ride2MD what it requires for Simply's Medicare Advantage trips.

What phone numbers do Ride2MD riders call?

Simply's 2026 reference guide and provider manual list Ride2MD at 844-628-0388 for Medicaid (its December 2025 member page gives that line for Broward, Miami-Dade, and Monroe and 866-372-9794 everywhere else), 844-671-6662 for long-term care, 877-671-6671 for Clear Health Alliance, and 833-833-2303 for Florida Healthy Kids. Simply's April 2026 Medicare guidebook lists 833-628-0388. FCC members book through FCC at 1-833-322-7526, and FCC has contracted with Ride2MD to run the rides.

Who do I call if Ride2MD does not fix a problem?

The health plan. Florida's plan contract (July 1, 2026) bars plans from handing their provider complaint system to a subcontractor. For a problem that is not about a claim, you have 45 days from the date it happened to file with Simply or FCC. The plan must confirm it within 3 business days and resolve it within 90 days.
