Simply Healthcare Transportation: Ride2MD Lines for Medicaid, Long-Term Care, and Clear Health Alliance
Simply Healthcare transportation in Florida is arranged by Ride2MD, the ride vendor AHCA lists for Simply, Clear Health Alliance, and Florida Community Care. Simply Medicaid members call 844-628-0388 in Broward, Miami-Dade, and Monroe or 866-372-9794 in other counties, at least three business days ahead. Companies get these trips by enrolling with Florida Medicaid and contracting with Ride2MD.
- One vendor, Ride2MD, books rides for Simply, its HIV plan Clear Health Alliance, and Florida Community Care, so Ride2MD's network is the way into all three.
- Simply is the biggest Medicaid plan in Broward and Miami-Dade and holds about a third of plan members in Pinellas and Pasco (August 2026).
- Simply Medicaid members in Broward, Miami-Dade, and Monroe call a different ride line than members in the rest of Florida.
- Members book three business days ahead, and any one-way trip over 50 miles needs Simply's approval first.
- Long-term care members also ride to errands, worship, and community events, up to 25 miles each way.

Simply Healthcare Plans, Inc. is Florida’s second-largest Medicaid plan by August 2026 enrollment, and under the name Clear Health Alliance it also runs a Medicaid plan for members living with HIV. Both send their non-emergency rides to Ride2MD, Inc., which AHCA’s plan subcontractor report through the second quarter of 2026 also lists for Florida Community Care. That report shows no parent company for Ride2MD and two owners holding half each. The Florida guide explains why each plan picks its own broker; below is what applies to Simply’s riders.
Where Simply’s riders are
On August 31, 2026, AHCA counted 512,402 Simply members in Managed Medical Assistance, just ahead of Humana’s 501,729 and behind only Sunshine. Simply also had 30,454 long-term care members and 3,625 members in its specialty plans, which include Clear Health Alliance. It serves all nine regions, but its members cluster in Tampa Bay, South Florida, and the Orlando area.
| Region | Main counties | Simply Medicaid members | Simply’s share of plan members there | Simply long-term care members |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| A | Escambia, Okaloosa, Santa Rosa, Leon, and the rest of the Panhandle | 35,955 | 19% | 542 |
| B | Duval, Marion, Volusia, and North Central Florida | 17,053 | 3% | 1,322 |
| C | Pinellas, Pasco | 53,903 | 35% | 3,332, the most of any plan |
| D | Hillsborough, Polk, Manatee, Highlands, Hardee | 108,347 | 27% | 5,528, the most of any plan |
| E | Orange, Osceola, Seminole, Brevard | 76,023 | 22% | 2,550 |
| F | Lee, Collier, Sarasota, and Southwest Florida | 35,646 | 18% | 949 |
| G | Palm Beach, Martin, St. Lucie, Indian River, Okeechobee | 41,890 | 18% | 1,310 |
| H | Broward | 60,167 | 29%, the most of any plan | 4,138, the most of any plan |
| I | Miami-Dade, Monroe | 83,418 | 23%, the most of any plan | 10,783 |
By county, Simply’s largest member counts were Miami-Dade (82,486), Hillsborough (60,414), Broward (60,046), Orange (35,453), Polk (34,132), Pinellas (30,806), and Palm Beach (29,206). It holds about 37 percent of plan members in Pinellas and 33 percent in Pasco. In the western Panhandle it has about 24 percent in Santa Rosa and 22 percent in Escambia, close behind Sunshine in both. Duval is the other extreme: 4,097 Simply members out of 152,595 plan members, under 3 percent.
Its long-term care members are even more concentrated: 10,743 of them lived in Miami-Dade, then 4,127 in Broward, 3,958 in Hillsborough, and 2,328 in Pinellas. So Ride2MD matters most to companies in Miami-Dade, Broward, Pinellas, and Hillsborough, and least to one in Duval. Outside Broward and Miami-Dade, Sunshine Health has more plan members than Simply in every county, so a company that takes Ride2MD trips there will usually want Alivi’s network too.
The Ride2MD line for each Simply program
Simply splits its Medicaid booking line by county, and each other program has a number of its own.
| Program | Ride2MD line | Where Simply lists it |
|---|---|---|
| Medicaid (Managed Medical Assistance), Broward, Miami-Dade, and Monroe | 844-628-0388 | 2026 reference guide, provider manual, and member page (December 2025) |
| Medicaid (Managed Medical Assistance), every other county | 866-372-9794 | Member page (December 2025) |
| Long-Term Care | 844-671-6662 | 2026 reference guide and provider manual |
| Clear Health Alliance | 877-671-6671, and 877-779-8617 outside Broward, Miami-Dade, and Monroe | 2026 reference guide; plan ride page (June 2025) |
| Florida Healthy Kids | 833-833-2303 | Provider manual (October 2026 edition) |
| Medicare Advantage | 833-628-0388 | Medicare guidebook (April 1, 2026) |
The county split dates to June 1, 2022, when Simply gave members in the old Regions 10 and 11 (Broward, Miami-Dade, and Monroe) one set of numbers and members in Regions 1 through 9 another. AHCA’s vendor list of July 20, 2023 shows the same split for both Simply and Clear Health Alliance, and it gave long-term care members 877-931-4753 outside those three counties. Simply’s 2026 provider documents print only 844-628-0388 for Medicaid, while its member page (December 2025) gives 866-372-9794 outside the three southern counties. Hand each facility you serve the line for its county.
Simply’s ride rules
| Rule | What Simply says |
|---|---|
| Notice | At least three business days before the appointment (member page, December 2025) |
| When to call | Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The member or their provider can book, and should call back if plans change. |
| Plan approval needed | Out-of-state travel, transfers between hospitals or facilities, and one-way trips over 50 miles (provider manual, October 2026 edition) |
| Also covered | Escorts when medically necessary |
| Copays | Simply waives all copays for its Medicaid members, and providers may not charge them |
| Meals on long trips | Up to $200 a day for members 21 and older and a required escort on doctor visits more than 100 miles each way, with approval |
| Day of the ride | Clear Health Alliance tells members to be ready one hour before the scheduled pickup (plan ride page, June 2025) |
Two rules differ from what a Sunshine rider sees. Sunshine books one business day ahead, while Simply asks for three, the longest Florida’s policy allows. And Simply’s approval line sits at 50 miles one way, not 100, so a specialist run between 50 and 100 miles needs Simply’s approval for its rider and not for a Sunshine rider. See long distance medical transport and prior authorization.
The copay waiver matters at pickup. Florida’s policy sets a $1 copay per trip unless the plan waives it, and Simply’s manual waives it for every Medicaid member, so your drivers collect nothing from a Simply Medicaid rider. Florida Healthy Kids is different: Simply’s manual says those copays are not waived. Simply’s member page (December 2025) also lists rides for non-medical purposes among the extra benefits for its Medicaid members.
Extra rides for long-term care members
Simply’s long-term care provider manual (November 2025) adds rides the state does not require:
- Non-medical rides. Unlimited trips of up to 25 miles to community events, health and wellness activities, local dental clinics, places of worship, libraries, social and group activities, support groups, job coaching, and GED classes.
- Errand rides. Eight one-way rides a month, up to 25 miles each, for errands, the hair salon, or the barber.
- Caregiver rides. Four one-way trips a month for a caregiver to visit family in an assisted living facility, adult family care home, or nursing facility.
With 10,743 of these members in Miami-Dade alone, the extras add many short local runs there on top of medical trips. The same manual says that when Ride2MD cannot settle a rider’s ride complaint within 24 hours, it passes the complaint to Simply’s grievance team, and a coordinator calls the member. Keep pickup times and notes for every leg, and see broker rider complaints.
Florida Healthy Kids and Medicare Advantage
Simply’s Florida Healthy Kids members get up to 50 round trips a year for the child and one or two companions to scheduled, nonurgent medical, dental, and specialist visits. They book on 833-833-2303.
For Medicare Advantage, Simply’s December 2022 bulletin named Ride2MD for every Simply coverage area from January 1, 2023, replacing Access2Care in Palm Beach, Orange, Osceola, Seminole, Polk, Hillsborough, Hernando, Pasco, and Pinellas. The bulletin listed 30 counties, from Brevard and Broward to Volusia. Simply’s April 2026 Medicare guidebook still lists Ride2MD at 833-628-0388 and says some plans arrange rides through case management instead, with coverage set in each plan’s Summary of Benefits. See Medicare Advantage transportation.
How to get Simply trips through Ride2MD
- Check your counties against the tables above. Simply’s member counts are highest in Regions D, I, and E, and its share is highest in C, H, and D.
- Enroll with Florida Medicaid. Florida’s plan contract (July 1, 2026) has Simply confirm that every provider holds a current AHCA agreement, and that transportation companies follow Rules 41-2 and 14-90 on drug testing, safety, and driver conduct. The Florida guide covers enrollment and the Level 2 screening for owners.
- Contact Ride2MD. Ride2MD, Inc.’s federal NPI record lists it as a transportation broker at 2766 NW 62nd Street, Miami, FL 33147, phone 305-265-3333, though that record was last updated September 16, 2019. Simply’s benefit partners page links Ride2MD’s name to transportationamerica.com, and its April 2026 Medicare guidebook gives the same site as Ride2MD’s provider manual link. That site belongs to Transportation America, which lists the same street address as its headquarters. You can also call Simply Provider Services at 844-405-4296 and ask for Ride2MD’s provider contact.
- Say which programs you can serve. Name Simply Medicaid, long-term care, Clear Health Alliance, Florida Healthy Kids, and Medicare Advantage separately, with your counties and levels of service.
- Ask about Florida Community Care too. Ride2MD books its rides as well, so ask whether your agreement covers both plans.
Your Ride2MD agreement sets your rate, billing, and no-show terms, since Florida’s Medicaid transportation policy leaves rates for van trips to negotiation. Contracting with Medicaid health plans lists what to check before you sign.

What to do first
- Find your county in the tables and note Simply’s share of plan members there.

- Reach Ride2MD through the contacts above and ask which Simply programs need capacity in your counties.
- Print a line sheet for each facility you serve, with the right Simply number for its county.
- Brief your drivers: Simply riders book three business days out, pay no copay, and need approval for trips over 50 miles one way.

Who provides transportation for Simply Healthcare in Florida?
Ride2MD, Inc. arranges non-emergency rides for Simply's Medicaid, long-term care, Clear Health Alliance, and Florida Healthy Kids members, and AHCA's subcontractor report through the second quarter of 2026 lists Ride2MD, Inc. among Simply's subcontractors. Simply also moved its Medicare Advantage rides to Ride2MD on January 1, 2023, when Access2Care stopped serving nine of its counties.
How far ahead do Simply members have to book a ride?
At least three business days before the appointment, according to Simply's Medicaid benefits page (December 2025) and Clear Health Alliance's ride page (June 2025). Members or their doctors call Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Florida's Medicaid transportation policy (November 2019) bars requiring more than three business days, so this is the most notice allowed, and urgent trips need no reservation.
Does Clear Health Alliance cover transportation?
Yes. Clear Health Alliance is the Medicaid plan Simply Healthcare Plans, Inc. has run since 2012 for members living with HIV, and Ride2MD books its rides too. Members call 877-671-6671, the line in Simply's 2026 reference guide, and the plan's June 2025 ride page gives 877-779-8617 for counties outside Broward, Miami-Dade, and Monroe. Members are told to be ready one hour before pickup.
How do I become a Ride2MD provider for Simply?
Enroll your company with Florida Medicaid first, because Florida's plan contract (July 1, 2026) requires every provider to hold a current AHCA agreement. Then contact Ride2MD. Its federal NPI record lists it as a transportation broker at 2766 NW 62nd Street in Miami, phone 305-265-3333 (record last updated September 2019). You can also ask Simply Provider Services, 844-405-4296, for Ride2MD's provider contact.
Do Simply long-term care members get rides to places other than the doctor?
Yes. Simply's long-term care provider manual (November 2025) lists unlimited non-medical rides of up to 25 miles to community events, wellness activities, local dental clinics, places of worship, libraries, support groups, job coaching, and GED classes. Members also get eight one-way errand rides a month, such as to the barber, and caregivers get four one-way trips a month to visit family in an assisted living facility, adult family care home, or nursing facility.
